Really a poor decision to charge existing customers for virtual card even. At worst they should have waived off virtual card fee for existing customers till card expiry and then start charging after that. Also none of the banks I know are charging for a virtual card. This all comes after basically a promise that debit card will be free. Looks like Fi made a better business decision here. Existing customers will not leave them. I have a reminder set for Jan’24 and will close the account by then if these charges are not reversed. It just doesn’t make any business sense for Jupiter or for customers to charge for a virtual debit card.

Will continue Jupiter for next couple of months. Hope it gets better and I can continue using it.

Have been using Jupiter as salary account from about 9 months now. Jupiter introduced many features in the meantime. That is the reason I am sticking with it now. Hoping to get the features which I require in near future.

When i joined this app, as a student from middle class family i was really happy because of having a bank account without any fees and stuffs coz i don’t have to bother my parents. and i started telling my friends about this cause they have Bank account with fees. And they said this is scam they will charge you fees soon look. Now i regret joining Jupiter ngl.
. This is a scam in way. You guys earn so many customers because of no annual fee no you started slowly ditching us. This is ridiculous

Yea at least should have kept the debit card free for existing customers till expiry like Fi to retain them. And no bank in India as per my knowledge charges for a virtual card. I just closed my Jupiter account once I saw that along with this debit card fiasco even the credit card is not worth as compared to my other credit cards.

How many scheduled bank in India provides virtual only debit card without any physical varient???

RBL bank, Kotak bank, Bank of Baroda, Fincare Small Finance Bank, IndusInd Bank, IPPB, NSDL Bank, Paytm Payments Bank and Axis Bank (not sure about Axis Bank, rest all can give virtual only debit card if you want)

Only kotak & bank of baroda provide virtual debit card Free of cost. Rest some bank do provide virtual card but along with physical card(chargeable).
I am not counting payment bank or Small finance bank or any PPI virtual card here

Then you are wrong. RBL Bank and IndusInd Bank also provide free virtual card if you do not count other banks. Also all banks are insured upto 5 lakhs by RBI. And most people use these small banks and neo banks as alternate account. So doesn’t matter. All the banks I listed provide virtual only debit card free.

PNB net banking can register by addhar free of cost, is pnb offer zero balance account online ?
For Indus you need physical card for first time, and they will charge high.

Received a mail from Federal Bank regarding change in service charges including ATM withdrawal charges from other bank ATMs.
Although, no information was provided in the mail.

They should have mentioned the new revised charges in the email itself.
Now, we have to figure it out through customer care. This defeated the purpose of basic communication.
