Hdfc now offer 2 card per user. Co branded card doesn’t count
But you keep talking about reward booster which has just been teased? If the feature was so good why would Jupiter not tell it in the first place? What use of hiding?
So what do you think what should be the ideal offering of Jupiter edge card to make it more valuable card for users? As well as for bank also
This is great so I can get tata neu one too if I have millennia and rupay UPI virtual cc?
If you already have any hdfc card approval rate of tata neu automatic increases
To make it sustainable and still competitive here would be my Juipter Edge Card -
-
Flat 1% on all purchases (excldues jewellery, fuel, rent, etc) using CC.
-
Rupay CC so it can also be used with UPI. Reward rate is still 1% but capped to 250 - 500 Rs. per month. Capping because Jupiter won’t make money on these transactions.
-
5% on one category or 3 merchants. Category can be something like bill payments (counters ACE) or Online shopping (Counters SBI Cashback). The reaward rate is capped at 2500 Rs or maybe a nice round figure of 10K Jewels. Reward rate can be lower if you don’t have Pro status. So 3% reward rate if you aren’t Pro.
-
A choice between one quarterly lounge access or adds 5K NRV Pro Jupiter status.
-
499 + GST annual fee with fee weaver condition at 1 Lakh.
Lower fees than SBI Cashback because it has higher capping. Same fees as Ace because ACE gives 2% on all spends but has lower cap on utility now.
My feedback was also quite similar & infact that’s the current trend
@BornArcher8 all I am saying is while the initial features that have been announced may not have ticked all the boxes in the checklist that you maintain, let’s wait for the complete feature set to get announced before completely trashing the product offering.
While I also feel that the offering could have been better, but we/I do not know the whole deal as of now. So holding my judgements till more info comes up.
Unconditional LTF is what I am looking for, especially for entry level card from a new player in this highly competitive CC segment.
My 6th sense tells that even after those accelerated rewards, it won’t justify its current fees of Rs. 999/- and even if the fees will be lowered to Rs. 499/- as expected by some members, even then it won’t justify its fees either.
My judgement is quite clear, if its Unconditional LTF then will go for it else skip it just like Fi Federal CC and few other credit cards.
Fair point. Very few details available of the additional features available. Hence, I will reserve my opinion until then
Yes, that’s their choice.
I have started neglecting Jupiter, after their constant blocking of different reward categories for Jewels Earning on DC & UPI Transactions.
They have started blocking even eligible transactions and then have to ask for manual credit of Jewels and such incidents were repeatedly happening. Moreover, they have started changing eligible txns. into ineligible ones. Due to such frequent changes like txns restrictions, devaluations and time wasting with support team for Jewel Credits have reduced my interest in Jupiter Federal Bank S/A.
I felt like a begger when I had to ask for manual Jewel Credits, even for eligible txns.
Since Jan., 2023 I haven’t used my DC & UPI for even a single txn., as I am fed up with lots of IFs & BUTs frequently introduced for securing their own intrests.
So I assume that same will be going to happen with Jupiter Federal Bank CC. Apart from above issues, I am also not much intrested into this Rewards Points earning & redemption circus (here Jewels circus) all the time, instead flat cashback % and direct credit in statement (SBI Cashback, Flipkart Axis, Axis ACE etc.) or direct credit in Wallet (AmazonPay ICICI)
So Chargeable Jupiter Federal Bank Credit Card is a big NO from my end. If its Unconditional LTF then I can think of that otherwise not.
Yes, you can reserve and that’s completely your own choice.
But I am here to give my honest opinions & feedback about Jupiter’s Products & Services.
As I don’t want to please the Founder and Team Jupiter.
If they are co-creating their products & services along with their customers, then they must be open to receive all kinds of feedbacks (including negative / critical feedbacks) with positive attitude.
But my overall feeling is that they do take lot of feedbacks but implements those which are highly suitable to them, in short Pro Jupiter suggestions are implemented with enthusiasm and zeal but on Pro Customer suggestions there are stereotype excuses and answers.
Joining benefits, milestone & Renewal benefits are yet to be disclosed.
So let’s c
There is none of that in this card. Nothing of this sort is yet to be disclosed. Only booster rewards which might be 10x instead of 5x on certain brands might be revealed. This card is dead on arrival in the current market.
Agree. Whatever the booster rewards won’t be worth it since many other options are available out there.
TBH, even if it’s given as LTF this card is not worth it.
Team needs to reconsider everything related to CC instead of launching it just for the sake of launching it.
Joining/renewal benefits in form of voucher/jewels which compensate the AMC and some equivalent milestone benefits will definitely add value to the entry level card.
And a secured variant with the updated same benefits will be a very good entry level card for all the new to credit card users.
Agreed, the CC offering needs an overhaul but Unconditional LTF CC with current offerings will at least make it applicable for early adopters.
Early adopters will be actually those who’ll provide learning platform for a new entrant like Jupiter in this highly competitive credit card market, so in return we should expect an Unconditional LTF CC from them. As there should be win-win game and not win-lose game.
I was one of the most early adopters of Jupiter S/A, I have signed up for Waitlist when no one was aware about it in the market. I think my no. was 73 or 83 something, in short in the first 10% Cashback category. Later on, they have drastically devalued benefits of this account that it became win-lose game now.
Thus, considering bitter experiences in the past, I am no more interested in chargeable CC with such poor rewards structure and if it will be offered Unconditional LTF, then only I may consider myself to join early adopters.
