The ICICI Bank QR code doesn’t redirect. It’s a QR code for scan and pay.

Sorry, but here, I beg to differ from your views.
“Plenty” means if all of these below mentioned options or majority of them are available for Customers to repay their Outstanding Amount / Bill Amount.
- CRED
- Cheq
- Amazon CC Bill Payment
- Paytm CC Bill Payment
- MobiKwik CC Bill Payment
- Freecharge CC Bill Payment
- PayZapp CC Bill Payment
- BBPS CC Bill Payment available at different 3rd Party Apps. e.g. INDIE By IndusInd Bank
- BillDesk x Bank’s CC Bill Payment Option (Without any customized links asked from CSB Bank) e.g. BillDesk x IDFC FIRST Bank
- NEFT Based Payment Option (Which is offered by some Banks e.g. IDFC FIRST Bank
- Cash Deposit Option at nearby Bank Branch e.g. IDFC FIRST Bank
Sole dependency on Jupiter App for paying CC Bill of Edge CSB Bank RuPay Card can’t be considered as ‘User Friendly’ move taken by both Jupiter & CSB Bank.
Moreover, some fintech Apps like Kiwi are not only giving rewards on transactions done on their own Axis Bank Kiwi Digital RuPay Credit Card but also offer rewards for CC UPI transactions done by any other Bank’s RuPay Card through their App.
Even almost all Banks are offering rewards on their Native / Co-branded RuPay Credit Cards for CC UPI transactions done through 3rd Party UPI Apps such as Paytm, PhonePe, GPay, CRED, BHIM etc. While Jupiter & CSB Bank offers “Upto 5% Jewels” (btw which had never been earned @ 5% for any of transactions done till date) only on those CC UPI Transactions, which have been done through their Platform.
But the biggest issue is the compatibility of Jupiter’s App availability at the time of CC UPI transaction checkout, either option for manually adding 3rd Party UPI ID or Jupiter App in compatible Apps is not available. e.g. Amazon is the classic example, 3rd Party UPI ID Option had been removed long time agao from checkout and instead 3rd Party UPI Apps option is available which shows only 3 - 4 3rd Party UPI Apps e.g. Paytm, PhonePe, GPay and in some cases CRED. So in such cases when transactions are done via any 3rd Party UPI Apps, other than Jupiter App, then those transactions won’t earn any Jewels, thus 0 rewards for such CC UPI transactions done via Edge CSB Bank Credit Card. While on the other hand, if Customer does any CC UPI Transaction on ICICI Bank Coral RuPay Credit Card, either through their own iMobilePay App (which also has dedicated UPI ID linked with Coral RuPay Variant, which can also be used in case of option for adding 3rd Party UPI ID during checkout) or any other 3rd Party UPI App, that transaction will earn ICICI Bank Rewards Points at the same rate in the either of the case. Similar logic also applied to other Banks also. Thus you can use either Scan & Pay Option on their Mobile App or 3rd Party UPI App for CC UPI Transactions at either small merchants like local grocery store, barber shop etc. or large Online/Offline merchants like Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, Croma.com / Croma Store etc. In any case customers will earn rewards points for CC UPI transactions done from their RuPay Credit Card.
Never do such mistake of applying for any CASA, CC, Loan etc. from any other Mobile No. which is not linked with your Aadhaar & PAN.
You account can’t be KYCed in this case and it will be blocked as per RBI Regulations.
Kindly, check list of alternative CC Bill Payment Options for Edge CSB Bank RuPay Credit Card in the above post and please, try to enable them in near future.
Could you please let me know the relevant RBI circular?
My PAN is not linked to any mobile number.
Also, opened an account with Airtel Payments Bank just today with the same number and used it to make a payment for the CSB Edge RuPay card via Jupiter. CKYC plus an automated live video for confirmation and the account is live.
I don’t have particular RBI Circular with me. But the basis behind my assumption is that as per govt.'s policy, PAN should be linked with Aadhaar and the mobile no. linked with Aadhar will be used for OTP based authentication while doing Full KYC through Biometric KYC / VKYC.
I am not sure what is the exact status of your APBL S/A’s KYC. You should approach their customer care for these queries.
Because as per my knowledge and understanding, online Wallet / SAs are issued & activated with eKYC along with certain usage restrictions and then within the span of 1 Year from the date of account opening, Customer must compete Full KYC of such account to avoid blockage and unrestricted usage. Options available for completing Full KYC can be CKYC Identifier, Biometric Authentication, Video KYC and even Physical Paper-based KYC is used for Full KYC.
Only for online base digital account where physical kyc not possible but for offline account opening any mobile number will work with any POI & POA documents
Everything depends on CSB bank here…
I believe with more user base … More third party repayment options will surely come in future
For smooth working of any Wallet / CASA in the long run, any such misadventures should be avoided because when system will become more stringent and effective then such accounts might get stuck up in between or can be blocked.
IT Dept. will also be going to adopt a stricter transaction tracking and reporting system where all transactions done via multiple SAs, CCs, PPIs etc. linked with PAN & Aadhaar will be at their fingertips. Even Banks will have to do proper reporting of their customers transactions and this may eliminate many loopholes, which are present today.
Thus, it is advisable to use primary mobile no. linked with Aadhaar & PAN for any new PPI / CASA openings.
It’s a full KYC compliant account.
IDFC Bank even allows you to change mobile number on the app. I have no compulsion to use my primary number.
The AADHAAR based KYC is validated using the OTP pushed UIDAI. I could use other number to sign-up for the service.
Again, I only decided to open this account to repay the Edge RuPay credit card bills and wouldn’t even consider opening an account if other repayment options were available.
Yes, I am completely aware with the role of partner bank in this case, but Jupiter can also not keep a blind eye towards such shortcoming in terms of making cc bill payment for its credit card from multiple platforms.
Infact, this is quite crucial issue which should’ve been addressed by both Jupiter & CSB Bank, even before launching their credit card in the market.
It’s definitely not reported basis mobile number. The FIU gets the data for any and all suspicious and cash transactions from the reporting agencies. Even bank branches report it fortnightly to their respective compliance departments.
I remember a time where people used to open FDs at different branches to avoid deduction of TDS. We have come a long way. Now, we have specialised solutions available for each and every requirement with CBS integration.
KYC is one of the important issues for RBI and for not following proper KYC Guidelines, it has recently penalized 3 PSU Banks, including SBI.
I can understand your case that you might not be wrong somewhere but, in my view, one should avoid using any secondary mobile no. for any new account opening, be it PPI / CASA / CC / Loan etc.
As far as change of mobile no. is concerned, yes, it is possible in case of almost all Banks. But the process is different, as some allow it online while for others, visit of home branch / nearby branch is required.

Frequent “Transaction Failures” is a common issue faced by almost all Edge CSB Bank RuPay Credit Card Holders.
that’s true. It’s completely random. Sometimes it works sometimes it didn’t. Maybe it depends on the recipient. Whether he accepts payment via credit card or not.
If a merchant is genuine, you should not face issue. But rent/wallet/p2p kind of payments may not work yet on Rupay card
it was decelined on flipkart aswell
