Edge CSB bank RuPay Credit Card 💳

I have heard that offer won’t be showing to people having only Amazon Pay cc. If there is any other ICICI CC, they will have this offer . Not sure if it is true

Yes, I am also not sure on ICICI Bank’s policies because whenever I try to ask their Customer Service Executives, those dumb people don’t have any idea of what’s going on the ground. Even when I have asked him for this Coral RuPay eligibility, that fellow told me to contact Branch / RM and my RM is even more useless than those dumb people. Whenever he calls me, it’s for selling ICICI Bank’s other products and completing his targets, that’s it. I have asked for his help for once or twice in the past but he told me to contact IVR. So then I have decided that I will not going to give business of even a single paisa to this selfish person.

But this might be correct because AmazonPay Variant is a Co-branded Variant but there is a dedicated Support IVR for that, which is not there in the case of other Co-branded Cards of ICICI Bank. Moreover, they exclude this card from Festive Offers of 10% Instant Discount, coming on Amazon while other Co-branded Cards of Bank are allowed in those offers.

Benefits, which were provided with Jupiter Edge Credit Card,
It should have come with Life Time Free,
Because there is some chargeable Boosters option available to boost reward to 10X

Already, AU Bank and Yes Bank provided this type of card with LTF.

Anyone Agree with this.

LTF and Rupay are my suggestions even with less reward rates.

Jupiter Edge Card is cocktail of OneCard (5x Rewards) and AU Bank LIT (90 Days Plans) and SBI Cashback (Annual Fee of Rs. 999 + GST).

@Shawnpinto Kindly check dm, I have reported one query.

@Shawnpinto This poll is also showing Jupiter’s existing savings account customers’ demand for Unconditional LTF Jupiter Edge Card.

Kindly, convey our feelings to concerned edge card team and higher management of Jupiter.

Thanks.

On the whole community, haven’t seen a single person supporting the reward structure with such fees.
Fees won’t be the issue if the card is rewarding.
When the card isn’t rewarding, atleast the card should be LTF.

People are always ready to pay for such Cards which are justifying their fees and considered as Value For Money (VFM). few popular examples are as under,

Airtel Axis Bank
Axis Bank ACE
Flipkart Axis Bank
SBI SimplyCLICK
SBI Cashback

Even Unconditional Lifetime Free Card like AmazonPay ICICI Bank is also delivering great value to its holders. While Jupiter is not only charging Annual Fees of Rs. 999 + GST for its Edge Card but also charging insane amount for 10x Boosters, which are accelerated rewards for just 1 Month/30 Days only. AU Bank is charging subscription fees in LIT Card for different plans, but that’s valid for 90 Days and moreover LIT is offered completely free and there is no compulsion of buying any plan. So without any plan also card fetches certain base rewards and can be used as Unconditional LTF Card.

Btw its myth that Banks don’t earn out of LTF Cards. If there were really incurring losses, then they have stopped issuing LTF Cards longtime back. A small video on this. Here, MDR is the key point to remember.

The major income of credit card companies is through interest charged to delinquent customers, almost 50% of their revenue is from interest income. MDR accounts for somewhere around 25% of their revenue. Rest around 25% is membership fees, late payment charges, balance transfer charges and other charges.

I think, Jupiter is not interested in offering its Edge Card as Unconditional LTF to me and I don’t find FYF Edge Card as VFM, thus decided to leave this Pre-Approved Offer as of now.

I would have loved to share my valuable feedback in the future, if Jupiter has valued its Early-Adopter for its Edge Card.

Co-creation should be a Win-Win Situation for both the Brand & its Early-Adopters and not the Win-Loose Situation, where Brand gets precious feedback for its products and services from Customers but Customers doesn’t get any previledges or fair returns for their time & efforts.

Isn’t practically LTF if Annual fee is 0?

Otherwise, it should be mentioned as Joining fee = 0.

Annual fee zero means LTF.
Maybe I am wrong in the interpretation.

Could it be a typo .

They are betting on the fact that you will spend 1.2L per year atleast. So technically it would be LTF in that sense.

Your understanding is correct, and I also understood it that way only.

Its error from Jupiter’s end that they should’ve written Joining Fee instead of Annual Fee because they are offering their Pre-Approved Card as First Year Free (FYF) and not Lifetime Free (LTF).

Yes, in case of FYF Card Joining Fees is shown as 0 and in case of Unconditional LTF Card, both Joining Fees and Annual Fees are shown as 0.

@Shawnpinto Any clarification on this ?

It’s FYF and not LTF, confirmed by @Shawnpinto in dm.

If they accept our suggestion of making it an Unconditional LTF for initial lot of early-adopters then it might be converted to LTF.

Otherwise, these Pre-Approved invites sent by Federal Bank have limited validity and no one knows whether it will re-appear for the same set of customers or not.

Mere renaming the card won’t work.
