Mainly the bank @Jupiter is irresponsible giving proper information to customer who get blocked , and they are not freeze the particular amount they are freezing the entire account
let’s say a scammer’s money gets to a genuine seller. even if he gets 1000rs worth complaint, his total account will be frozen. lakhs will be at risk for 1000rs complaint, and his business is closed for days.
same happened for me with top leading bank. they just hold the complaint amount and not the whole account
Brother in Indian law should update even cyber cell doesn’t know about crypto if they heard about crypto it’s a scam… And they block… they don’t know the government pass the bill
Well definitely innocent account holders struck in the Money trails are high.
But don’t get me wrong… I am a scam victims. My hard earned money was taken from me by some unknown scammers without my knowledge but thanks to the active cybercrime department i got my whole money back.
So i support the account freezing by law authorities
Broo they are fools cyber cell , they told me when my money get scam be careful we can’t do anything and we don’t have money to investigate it , and they closed the case in kerala
but why not just freeze that particular amount instead of the whole account, that’s the whole point.
when other banks can do it, why not Jupiter?
both have the same rbi guidelines.
And also the person who received money directly from the victim has no problem.
Agree to freez but the particular amount should be freez not the entire account
It’s ok but the customer have the right to get the proper reason and the complaint details to get blocked … within 24 hrs
If somebody take money from you illegally and if you complaint to cybercrime about the scam then the whole money trail account holders will be freeze till further investigation.
Ultimately money can’t vanished online like Cash.
Its lot safer to transact with cheque/digital mode than cash

Well that’s depends upon the workload of the concern authorities involves here… But atleast 7 days is okay & max. 30 days time for resolution till approaching banking ombudsman
but what’s the use of a money trail? ultimately both ends are innocent.
the scammer would have sent the money to another person already.
if both side are innocent, then who will get the money?
Stopping off the money trail by freezing account will ultimately stop the movement of scam /suspicious money and will help in the investigation process and possible recovery of the scam money also.
P2p crypto r worst affected because many scammers r buying crypto assets by the scam money & then selling that off and talking out the money from the system as legitimate money

My account has been frozen for last 1 week , when I try to contact with customer care it shows to send email.i have been sending emails for the last seven day and their is no response from them

Yeah, an email, or sms notifying and detailing the reason for the freeze is needed. For most people, it’s not the freeze thats frightening, rather not knowing why it was frozen.
