I want to share my ongoing frustration regarding my Jupiter savings account (linked with Federal Bank, account ending 3669), which has been frozen since 10th September 2026 that’s now over a week with zero resolution.
Timeline of my experience:
Received an email on Sep 10 stating my account was frozen due to “suspicious transaction patterns.”
I promptly responded with complete clarification: source of funds, transaction purpose, occupation/income details, bank statements, and transaction receipts.
The “suspicious” activity in question was simply a ₹24,000 self-transfer for a Claude (Anthropic) subscription that failed I refunded the amount to myself within 6 minutes. That’s it. No large or unusual transactions on my part.
I have sent 4-5 follow-up emails since then. I received only one reply, asking for documents which I promptly submitted. After that, complete silence.
Calling customer care leads nowhere it’s just an automated IVR with no option to reach a live agent.
In-app live chat rarely has an agent available.
My concern:
I understand banks need to verify suspicious activity, and I’ve cooperated fully and promptly at every step. But if a customer provides all requested documentation and still gets no response for over a week, with no way to reach a human being what is a customer supposed to do?
I’m not asking for special treatment, just a functioning support process. If Jupiter/Federal Bank cannot provide timely resolution or communication once documents are submitted, it raises serious concerns about reliability for genuine customers.
Requesting the Jupiter team to please look into this urgently. I’m also considering escalating this to the RBI Banking Ombudsman if there’s no response soon.
First of all, I would request and strongly recommend to avoid sharing your contact number, email and other private information on this community. This is an open community and such information can get misused.
While I understand you would have responded promptly but Federal Bank has a defined process to validate everything and lift the freeze.
On your concern around the bot, agent connect is available during working hours if a customer wants to connect. I will request @Vajrala_Pradeep to get this checked.
Please share your customer support ticket number which you received in response to your email with @Bhawika_Jain and she will get it checked quickly with the bank.
At any point in time, if you would like you exercise your rights as a consumer, we will understand and respect it.
We completely understand your frustration regarding the account freeze. Please know that security restrictions are not triggered by single transactions or specific amounts, but rather by automated pattern recognition designed by our partner Bank to prevent cybercrime.
Your statements have been successfully shared with the Bank for clarification. Because the Bank holds the sole authority to lift this restriction, we are currently waiting on their review process to conclude. Our Cybercare team will notify you once we receive an update.
We are committed to supporting you through this and want to ensure you feel heard. We have reviewed your communication history and can confirm our Cybercare team has replied to your previous emails. Additionally, in the 3 out of 13 recent chat sessions where a live agent was requested, you were successfully connected.
We are doing everything we can on our end and kindly ask for your patience while the Bank completes its review. However, if you remain dissatisfied with the process, we completely respect your right to take any further action you deem necessary.
