Summarising the above:

  2. @specter, @jigarmistry24 ,@niranjan_kumar & @sani suggest we keep a search bar icon instead of a bar. This saves space.

This also means that users must understand what a :mag: icon represents. This is important because there’s no text under it.

  1. The text is not in the middle of the search bar. We can see it in @sani screenshot here: (Ongoing) Lab test #12 - Search bar on Home Page 🔎 - #11 by sani

  2. Transactions aren’t showing up if you enter names

  3. Old payee names shows up and sell gold takes you to superpot:

This is a great find. Good work @Satyajit_Singh for spotting this.
It shows us the old payee in the results, even though they are deleted. We’ll need to fix this.

We also need feedback on your expected results for a search bar. Let us know the terms, words & sentences you would like to get results for if you were to use the search tool.

I did initially thought of this but the search results points you to other resources/pages.
For example if I query “Pots” in the search bar,
It will show me a link to the pots page. But I would also like to see a summarised view which includes no of pots and total amount in it as well .

Also if you search for mutual funds or any other query related to mutual funds the icon is just the jupiter logo, which can be confusing at times.

I think the search bar is making things a little worse so what i would recomend Jupiter team to do is that they can take just introduce search icon logo which will open the search bar and second option can be that double tap on account button and then the search bar will appear and also i would love to know your thoughts on this

This is a design call that we’re thinking about.

I wouldn’t suggest this part because users wouldn’t know that you can tap on the account button 2x times. The function for that button is to show the home page (account), adding more functions to the same button would complicate things.

I know and i understand but when someone download app or first time enter into the app there can be a tutorial which guide them to that path

@Shweta I have an interesting observation regarding the search results.

In the search bar when I search for transactions keyword it shows me a table of transactions, however it is having transaction records of both(main and pots) accounts.

There will be confusion in transactions as the account no is not mentioned.
I think its a bug, but a very insightful bug which shows the inner mechanics of pots and super pots
I can even see the interest amounts paid for my super pots which confirms my assumption that super pots also compound every quarter.
