Let's understand how you bucket your spends with this small activity!

Hi everyone,

We are doing a quick card sort activity to see how people bucket their spends.

This will help us improve categories for money-out/money-in tracking. It will also give us inputs on what level of customisations people need with categorisation.

We would want everyone of you to participate to get a holistic view. And guess what, we are giving Amazon gift vouchers worth Rs 500 to 5 lucky participants. :gift:

You can access the activity from here. More details are on the link.

Note: You can create your own categories, not necessarily tag all spends to the given categories.

Let me know if you face any issue in doing the activity.

Ready to group your spends?

done and done

@Lakhan_Suchdev Sir, I believe there is a problem where there is no available space to fill user details. Additionally, after completing the form and clicking the link again, the page returns to the starting point. This may result in users being able to fill out the form multiple times.

Abdul, wow :astonished:. You are lightning fast!!

Hi @razack, we have updated the link to get user email. You can fill it again if you want to.

Sshhhhhhhh!!!
Had to do everything for the second time.
We need both categories and tags to remain.
Just some more categories are needed to be added. That’s it.

It was fun, but really custom tags will help users personalize Jupiter app. Starting from calling ā€œpet chargesā€ with their pet names to having dedicated categories for different ā€œGroceriesā€.

Submission done!!

Hi everyone,

Reminder to do this activity if someone has not done it yet. It closes at 5 PM today!

Done. and I’m Waiting for the Voucher to arrive

Waiting for the results🄱

It’s doubtful that the results will be posted in the community forum as there was no option for users to enter their personal details. As only an email address was requested, it’s possible that the winners will be notified through email. Let’s hope for the best.
Fingers crossed :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:

I am looking forward to seeing finding the results of the survey

Yes, that would be very interesting to know and see.
Many thanks to @Lakhan_Suchdev for allowing us to participate in this fantastic card sorting exercise. :slightly_smiling_face: :slightly_smiling_face:

Although it appears to be a straightforward task initially, it necessitates a certain level of care and accuracy in order to appropriately sort the cards into the most suitable tags or categories. Consider what would happen if someone had created a category called ā€œPetā€ and mistakenly placed the task ā€œhospital visits for parentsā€ into it instead of ā€œhospital visits for petsā€ (let’s hope no one did!). :exploding_head: :exploding_head: These kinds of things can occur when people drag the tasks to the wrong side, as we are no free from errors.

It’s great that we’re able to participate in this activity and help improve the information architecture of the app. Thanks a lot. :star_struck:

Note: The survey is still accepting responses and is not closed.

It was quite confusing as suppose
If you buy a gym membership should it go to health or subscriptions as it could be a monthly payment.
Then there is dividing spends based on the person on whom/by whom the money was spent in the family. It could be really hard to choose.

Yes, it depends on individuals and varies from person to person. As you said, some may categorize it under ā€œHealthā€ category but some under ā€œSubscriptionā€ head. That’s actually Team Jupiter wanted to see from us, so that either more tags can be introduced or tags can be decreased. I think understanding all these behaviour was the actual goal of this card sorting activity.

Hence, the survey.

Exactly. There were some tags which could fit into the same category.

It all depends on how you see those spends.

I’m still wondered, where are the winners :blob_think:
