Saw some people recommending the criteria to be a Salary account member. Please consider students and freelancers too when setting up the criteria

I wouls say an FD of 40000 would be better like one card does or something like that,
there is no benefit of a metal card in real life

True. No real benefit of the metal card except for show-off.
And if you see, the metal card is VISA platinum where as existing debit card is VISA Signature. Why would I cancel the existing card and opt for metal card. Makes absolutely no sense.

Agreed. Metal cards looks impressive, but their benefits in real life are minimal. The cost and effort required to obtain may not be justified by the actual benefits.
However, it’s a matter of personal preference and individuals can definitely try out metal cards if they are interested.

Yeah before getting one I do need clarity on more specific details regarding metal card. Is it visa platinum or signature or infinite. Is it the same one as given in the quest or a different variant of it.

Features: Visa Classic < Visa Gold < Visa Platinum < Visa Signature < Visa Infinite.

Surprisingly I didn’t find any feature difference between visa platinum and visa signature.
Signature you get higher card limits.
And bms bogo offer too

If you use your card only for regular shopping at POS machines and ATM withdrawals, then you’ll not see any difference.
But if you shop at specific merchants/hotels/brands, then it makes a difference.

A valid point that just the card being metal brings 0 benefits other than bragging rights. If that’s the case then make it a one time fee (consider it a purchase)— done and dusted. If you plan to provide additional benefits with the card then an annual feel is still fine. To keep it exclusive, salary/pro account users is a good enough criteria.

Personally for me visa platinum and visa infinite both are same. I have niyox global infinite credit card but it works the same way as platinum does.
If MF is included in the list, then the money invested goes out of Federal Bank. Hence it won’t be considered.

It was a suggestion. Mutual Funds are now a part of the investment tab along with gold and FDs. Hence, it is easier to include it in the criteria.

The main objective of promoting a pro/salary account is to deposit and keep money in Fed Bank A/c.
