This looks like analytics page, I believe this can be opened in mobile browser too but why did you chose to open it on a big screen desktop? The various charts, columns, datasets analysis Jupiter team would be doing most probably happens on big screens but they can be done on mobiles too but no one does on mobile, why? The answer to this question is also the answer to why there should be a net banking website.
You have valid reasons for leaning towards mobile app that it has huge market share compared to desktops but user shouldn’t be forced to use a particular platform, all options should be available. No one here has yet talked about Jupiter’s OTP page but that’s a website too and the UI is really nice and simple, much better than many others.
First of fall what is the use of net banking ??? @gegobyte@goneo
Dont you think Imps & Neft transactions are far better than NetBanking ( old payment method ) .
Do you really use NetBanking ?
You want to buy a mobile in amazon and you find plenty of offers on debit card and credit card even on upi .
At that time you really use NetBanking option ?
What the @Jiten sir said exactly correct . Showing the intrest in NetBanking means wasting of time .
It’s not about payment only. There are many other features in NetBanking. Top banks like HDFC, ICICI, SBI provides some features in their netbanking only. Those features aren’t available in their mobile banking application.
Can use on big screens with keyboard and mouse, gst payments are only possible with net banking websites. A responsive website can be used on phone also but app cannot be used on desktop.
No, they are not. NEFT is slow, can takes hours for the transaction to get credited in the beneficiary account. IMPS & UPI have per day and per transaction limit, they are only good for small amount transfers. If you are making a online purchase of a higher amount, then the options are net banking based payment gateway, debit card and credit card or if you are doing a fund transfer of higher amount, then the option is RTGS but this is irrelevant here as IMPS, NEFT, RTGS can be provided in app also.
No, majority of my orders on Amazon are placed using Amazon Pay ICICI Credit Card because of the 5% cashback (looking forward to what Jupiter’s reward program can do) but I place them using Amazon website not using Amazon app because you can’t see much products at the same time on a small screen device, with website I can also open multiple sections in multiple tabs, with app one has to switch back and forth, desktop/laptops win by a country mile.
That I am aware of, app on Windows 11 will look like app only, it won’t transform into a full screen website. Responsive websites do look good on all screen sizes.
Also, one needs to have Windows 11 to have access to android apps, what does one need to have access to a website? Just a browser and it runs on Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android etc…
You agreed that you use amazon website for orders . If you save the card in amazon then paying with simple cvv & otp is far better than entering login id , password , transaction id …
To check 26AS.
2)To login to income tax portal
3)To e-verify ITR
4)To apply for an IPO
I spend most of my time in front of screen so I do use NetBanking for transactions as well.
I am not asking Jupiter to burn their money and energy on new NetBanking app coz I know that will require a proper and robust infrastructure.
You Look neo banks are currently un-regulated. You never know how long will their product last or they as a company will. They rely mostly on VC funding without any revenue model. Once the funding is gone, the app will be gone.
Flipkart is available in Microsoft store but when I am on Windows why would I install a Windows app, I would rather simply open Flipkart website in a browser.
That’s what I said that I complete the transaction using saved card only but to get there I use Amazon website on laptop because of the fundamental issues with small screen devices. Not much is visible at the same time on a 6-7 inch mobile device. You want to place orders in clothing segment, what is better, browsing on app or browser on website on big screen?
we all need federal bank netbanking login sometime . as to avail some benefit of netbanking which jupiter don’t allow . i know it is bad business for jupiter to give access to net banking. but somehow it build trust among the customer about them. and atlast be are customer of federal bank, jupiter is just a platform to provide simple and lucrative look to banking system. pardon me to interfere in the business as you know more than me.
You don’t have any compulsion to use Jupiter. Federal bank allows direct account opening with 300+ banking services . You are free to go to their website and open account with them directly for more features.
What u mean if u have debit card from any bank and registered number you will automatically get internet banking especially when you have an app access
Not good Jiten …very cheap reply of you. … Pls refrain next time … You are into high end neobanking this shudnt be your reply .anyways slightly happy with your product let’s see what futuristic stuffs are ahead
I think the reply was informative rather than a taunt.
Founder’s vision is often very focused and might encounter friction in initial stages.
If someone wants to set up a service that doesn’t even need netbanking features can invite a lot of friction.
But discount brokers going against the big corporate lobby during initial days, must have also sounded like a business model with a lot of friction at that time.
I don’t favour or deny netbanking. But I think SaaS are potentially disruptive ideas. Really awesome to witness them for better or worse.
