Which OTT do you prefer?

Way too high. No doubt. Where the provider scores is the rest of the competition is really low on uptime and speed commitment. Its an unsaid monopoly.

I knew I was getting fleeced. Dang it.

I pay rs350 per month for 40mbps speed. I think it’s reasonable speed for video streaming, browsing at this price range.

True that. Guess, I will have to convince my father (who is the secretary) to convince the society members to en-mass agree to switch to a different service provider.

Somedays, when the wifi feels slow, I just use 5G hotspot. Good for downloading large files.

That’s a good work around. I should now consider a phone upgrade.

During the Covid Pandemic time and lockdown period (2020-21) I had

  • Netflix
  • Disney+ Hotstar
  • Amazon Prime
  • Sony Liv
  • Zee5
  • Sun NXT
  • Aha
  • Manorama Max

At present. I have only Hotstar (since I paid a yearly premium before) , JioCinema and Airtel Xtreme (both cannot be considered OTT due to lack of content)

Even in South states it’s becoming tough for them to survive. I read recently that, aha is in losses.
