Suggestion to Add Dual SIM Support for Multiple Bank Accounts in JUPITER App

  1. THE IDEA: The idea is to add a feature to the JUPITER app that allows users to link multiple bank accounts from different phone numbers to their JUPITER account, particularly for users in India who frequently use dual SIM mobile phones.

  2. THE PROBLEM IT SOLVES: Currently, users who have multiple bank accounts linked to different phone numbers face difficulties in managing their finances through a single app. With this feature, users can add multiple bank accounts to their JUPITER account regardless of the phone number associated with each account, making it easier to track their finances.

this feature is not supported by upi apps like gpay, phonepe and paytm so i don’t think it’s possible also you have to signup with a phone number and you can only link bank accounts connected to it

Dear @Fahad_Khan
Based on the fact that a PAN and Aadhaar card are only linked with one mobile number, I believe it is not possible for a user to have multiple bank accounts linked with different mobile numbers.

If you want to know all your account as well as loan balances, you can use this feature. Please refer to this thread.

It is possible, some traditional banks do not check if the mobile number is linked with Aadhar or not, especially accounts which are created offline.

It is actually possible for a user to have multiple bank accounts linked with different mobile numbers. During the offline account opening process, banks do not typically care to verify or validate, they just update mobile number provided in the form by you.

I see  , thank you for bringing this to my attention @saurabh.s @Abhishek_Ulayil
Here, the first thing they ask is whether you have linked it with aadhaar or pan? Only Co-operative banks don’t care about these things.

The idea is to add a feature to the JUPITER app that allows users in India to link multiple bank accounts from different phone numbers to their JUPITER account. Currently, many users have to use different banking apps because they have multiple bank accounts linked to different phone numbers. This creates inconvenience and leads to difficulties in managing finances efficiently. The proposed solution is to allow users to add both their bank accounts to the JUPITER app, even if they have different phone numbers. As banks only verify transactions using OTP, the security of the transactions is not compromised. This feature would make it more convenient for users to manage their finances, thereby increasing the transactions made through the JUPITER app.

It would be more beneficial for JUPITER to focus on developing other essential features that users need.

While, the inconvenience you’re facing to add other accounts to JUPITER app or the feature you’re asking for can easily be fulfilled by update the phone on your other accounts. Updating the phone number in your other accounts is a simple process that can easily be done by the user. Therefore, it would be more efficient for the company to direct their efforts towards improving other aspects of their service.
