Well congratulations for the new card
But i guess you know it very well that getting unsecured cc from idfc in future will be very hard after getting this secured card

@alec Initially, the default amount shown was 10,000, but I decided to change it to 2,000. Thus, I obtained the card with a fixed deposit (FD) of 2,000. My intention is primarily for collection purposes and to boost my credit score.

@DigitaL Is it? I was unaware of that. Well, it’s not a problem. Right now, my main focus is on developing a good credit score. I’d be happy to share what happened to my credit score on another occasion, as I feel it might deviate from the topic/thread.

I have heard that if you close your first CC then your credit scores are more likely to reduce since your credit age changes.

That’s why I am still keeping my first secured card :upside_down_face:

If you are not using it & if its paid card with low limit… Then closing it will be the best option.
Ultimately repayment history & enquiries r the most important parameters for cibil score

Most bank don’t give unsecured cc to existing secured cc holder of the same bank.
But i will advise everybody to not applied for onecard lite… Build the credit score & then apply for unsecured metal onecard (cheapest metal card available in the market)

IDFC Wow is not so good card among 3 I have ever had. I added Rs 4000/- to my Paytm wallet one day. After that, I cannot transfer a single penny using that card. The reason that the customer executive told me is, I use this card in wallets, etc. And make them cash(digital). So, the card declined all the transactions even Rs 9/- declined by the card while making payment to Flipkart. The charge is Rs. 99/- for redeeming the rewards. Their reward programme is also not so lucrative. Ig 1 point on spends of Rs 150/- The value of one point is 0.25 Rs. Correct me if I am wrong. The good thing is that we can withdraw cash through ATM with cash withdrawal charges of Rs 200 in which we get 50 days interest-free cash. But this is not recommended to do.

Edit: Cashback scheme is not as I mentioned (please check below reply post or official website). Card has some more good facilities which I forget to mention before but first, no cc issuing company has right to bound my transactions (which not even unfair) if I already shown my worthiness by giving a security.

Good points:
You can start with minimum FD of Rs 2000/5000 only

  1. Lowest interest rate charging card 12% p.a.

  2. 100% ATM cash withdrawal (against FD) without interest charges for 50 days. But one time charges is Rs 199/-. Other most of cards do not give this facility, if they give they charge intrest from next minute means no interest free cash withdrawal and impose one time charges as well. Though I do not recommend cash withdrawal through ATM.

  3. It gives road side assistance.

  4. 0 forex markup fee.

  5. Never expiring reward points with real time redemption while transacting. You have to bear nominal charge of Rs 99.

  6. It give best referral reward 2000 points. So, my referral link that will help me earn some points is here

I reviewed OneCard as well. If someone reading then compare pros and cons and apply. For onecard minimum fd amount is 5000.

After 1 year of flipkart pay later, I created wow cc of IDFC against FD of Rs. 8000/- even I did not transact so much I got calls for loan of 1 lakh 8 thousand my limit of flipkart pay later is increased to 30000. If we create a good transaction of billing statements then definitely it will be easy to get a unsecured card

First of all i don’t have Paytm wallet so can’t say about that, secondly we get 4x reward points on every 150 spend. So basically 1rs reward on every 150 ( except fuel, emi, loan repayment) so reward rate is 0.67% but afaik the users who joined before October 2022 got 1rs reward on every 100 spend, so in this case reward rate is 1%.

Rbl duet card is a credit line credit card that’s mean 2 entry in credit reporting (loan for credit line & another entry for cc)
For LTF with expenses <200k best cashback card will me Millennia (during offers its Ltf) or you can go for axis Ace/Flipkart or amazon pay card

Guys what is your takes on Federal Bank Signet Credit Card? In website they are showing LTF but in application page nowhere mentioned about LTF. Other websites showing 750/- annual fees, and i couldn’t find proper reward rate, redemption fees etc etc. So i want to know from you, guys.

It’s indeed LTF card w.e.f. 3 april, 2023
Base Reward - 1 point per 200rs (1RP = 25p)
Redemption charges - 99rs
Single card per user policy & Rupay Upi not live yet.

There’s HDFC millennia if have relationship with HDFC.

This is not applicable to Duet Credit Card, because cashback will be direct credited to the statement
