Problem when creating account

Hi Jupiter Team,

I recently tried creating a new account, but I received the message:

“Sorry, your account could not be created. Unfortunately this can happen when your profile doesn’t match Jupiter’s policies.”

Could you please help me understand the reason and let me know if there’s any way to complete verification or retry the signup process?

Thank you.

Thank you for writing in, and I’m sorry the sign-up didn’t go through.

Your Jupiter savings account would be opened with our banking partner, Federal Bank, and every new application goes through a joint eligibility check. This check looks at several things together - identity verification, regulatory requirements, and the onboarding criteria set by Federal Bank and Jupiter. If any one of these doesn’t line up, the account cannot be opened at that point in time.

I won’t be able to share the specific reason this happened. The eligibility criteria are internal to Federal Bank and Jupiter and remain confidential, and I’d rather be honest about that than offer a generic answer that doesn’t actually help.

This is a policy outcome based on how the application read today, not a reflection of you as a person. The criteria do evolve over time, so a future attempt could have a different result, though I’m genuinely not able to predict that.

Thank you for considering Jupiter, and apologies again that we couldn’t get you on board this time.

I would encourage you to try Jupiter Account, a zero balance spends account which can be used to make UPI payments, get UPI transfers and even earn rewards.
