I see some open questions here, and would love to clarify once more -

  1. Users will get 1% Rewards on DC & UPI for their first 3 months
  2. After the introductory/welcome offer (post 3 months) , users will need to maintain a minimum MAB of Rs. 10,000 to continue the 1% benefit
  3. This does not apply for Pro Salary Users. They will continue to earn 1% on DC & UPI (Not dependent on MAB)

Happy to answer any more questions on the construct change.

I don’t understand why Neo bank should adopt to MAB! That looks like moving back to standard bank guidelines & even those banks started to provide it.

But MAB Suggestion is great idea :v:However MAB sounds :roll_eyes:

Why don’t we calculate % based on spendings or subscription based spending! Instead MAB(Since it sounds :joy: on neo & hard to watch it keep noticing at rare case).

Now what’s the reason to use bank if we have to maintain 10k in our account . If a person have 10k what that person would bother for 150 jewels

@Shawnpinto why pot balance is not considered for AMB calculation. I know pot balance is in different account but it is part of Jupiter account.

AFAIK AMB/ MAB is an industry standard. So, they’ll have to coin some other term if/ when they consider Pot and other deposits? :eyes:

some banks use TRV as in Total Relationship Value for qualifying into Higher tier Proposition offerings

I think people start losing interest in jupiter

Right

Maintaing MAB of 10,000 is not practical for a student who tend to be your primary customer. And I personally have accouts in HDFC and IDFC First debit cards which me more offer than Jupiter. So I personally don’t think customers will continue to use jupiter. I think the only way you can survive in this market is to give freebies until you reach a saturation point.

Pot balance should be considered as well when calculating the MAB, also maintaing MAB does not sound good for a Neo bank in the first place. even std bank give zero balance account, but i considered jupiter for mainly the extra benifit like 1 % cashback without any extra maintenance. There is also not extra benefit on pot wrt interest rate.

@Madhu You’re right.
We are scoping this idea and planning to allow Pots for the MAB requirements too.
