Jupiter gave 1% CB instead of 10% CB for Zudio Shopping

I used my Jupiter Edge+ RuPay Credit Card at a Zudio store expecting the advertised 10% cashback, but I received only 1%.

Details:

  • The invoice is from Zudio

  • The merchant name on the card statement shows “Star Bazaar”

  • Because of this, the transaction was treated as a non-partner spend

When I contacted Jupiter support, they replied that Zudio is not part of the 10% cashback partner list, which feels misleading, because:

  • Zudio is clearly shown in Jupiter’s 10% cashback promotions

  • Customers have no control over POS/merchant mapping

  • The purchase was genuinely made at a Zudio store

This seems like a backend merchant-tagging issue, not a customer mistake.

Has anyone faced something similar with Zudio / Westside / Star Bazaar or with Jupiter Edge+?

Did escalation help in getting a manual cashback correction?

This Ideally is not not an issue at Jupiter’s end. Multiple large stores usually follow this practice where their POS terminals are linked to different entities which are linked to different MCC.

It happened with me when i paid for subscription and after few days i visited Reliance trends but still i got cashback according 1%. Jupiter bot system is worst and it didn’t help me at all. But it totally work good with Amazon Flipkart and Myntra.

Same thing happened with me as well at the zudio in Star Bazaar near kundalhalli signal. I paid at zudio but the merchant name was started bazaar and got 1% cashback

A stupid question:

Did you accidentally paid via UPI using credit card? or it was a card payment using OTP?

Faced the same with Zudio and Trends.

I faced this issue on Flipkart. I paid the amount ₹528 on Flipkart via CSB Edge Plus credit card and I got only 26 jewels which is equal to ₹5.2 Instead of ₹52.8

Same thing happened today as well. In the morning, I placed an order of ₹386 (a full sleeve shirt) on Flipkart and the jewels which I received for this is 19 which is equal to ₹3.8 instead of ₹38.6. This purchase is not the groceries which I brought earlier (mentioned in the above reply). I’ve ordered groceries a lot in the past and on each and every grocery shopping I got 10% cashback. But now even with non-grocery item, I’m not getting 10% back just 1% received.

@Arif - As part of the changes that were communicated in the last week of Feb where we enhanced the limit on Shopping, Jupiter Flights etc. We have introduced a capping of 1% on Grocery. You would have received this communication on sms and email. Earlier, we were offering 10% on everything but given the mapping issues of this category/MCC on the top aggregators, we had to take this call.

I am facing an issue with my recent purchase. I paid ₹1387 using my CSB Edge Plus credit card, but I received only 69 Jewels, which seems incorrect.
