While on one side I am excited to see so many options and fresh new takes on UPI and RuPay… On the other side, I am worried that a lot of new credit users are going to use credit.

Hopefully they will use it responsibly.

What I can understand from various articles is that UPI liteX is an extended version of UPI lite (may be with increased limit)

I am just thinking that introducing too many products under UPI is getting confusing. Too much to follow and be aware of…

#IMHO They should keep it simple.

Every traditional banking mechanism is being replaced by UPI and they are addressing the issues in case of contingencies.
That’s the reason we have so many products of UPI.
Recent launch was AutoPay QR which is something out of the box thinking as well.

As of now one still needs them to activate UPI. If that is overcome is some way, then agree, who will actually use a debit card.

There’s already a way to activate UPI with aadhar number. Most of the top banks have implemented it without using debit card.

Also, virtual debit card is enough!

I just think that unless cash goes out of use completely, the need for a debit card (at least one from all your accounts) maybe necessary.

But I do wish that cash is completely gone. That would help the Indian economy a lot.

Download and get a free Rupay prepaid card (I think at present, its available only on Play Store) They are supported by pine labs and the cards are also issued by them
Loved their idea of personalised prepaid cards based on cities :+1:t2:

This is something different. Expecting more and more differentiators and USPs.

We are the winners in the end.

But in this lot released during GFF 2023, the design awards goes to Jupiter for Edge RuPay credit card.

So that’s what they have been building. On the Uni App, they call it the NX Wave card. I think it’s the same product. They started their wait list the day they reached out to users post the BNPL regulation.
