Paytm introduces Card Soundbox, enabling acceptance of mobile and card payments.
“Merchants don’t want too many devices crowding the counter. There was a need for a consolidated device. We were able to identify that need and design a device that is a simple and easily scalable solution that enables merchants to accept both mobile and card payments,” says Ripunjai Gaur, Chief Business Officer, Offline payments, Paytm.

This is interesting news.
I understand that most people don’t trust Paytm because of it’s Chinese connection (which is over now for the most part).
But I am rooting for Paytm.
Also you can’t completely avoid Paytm anyways.
How do you enter the amount
I am guessing it should have a keypad on the backside.
POS is your mobile
Amount should be entered in the mobile app
In future, they will launch with the number pad too.
Fold money started giving out invites to their app in beta. It is basically Jupiter money section with more controls over individual transactions.
You can upload bills , add merchant to transaction (feels like merchant info is getting fetched from Google map), add notes etc to a single transaction or in a bulk…
Account aggregator currently supports few banks (even SBI or kotak is not there). It is an app in testing.
Invites are dropped in their Twitter and discord channel.

@Aswin_Benny , the keypad is on the backside + can scan QR code
The newer models will have a keypad to enter the amount. Demo here https://www.youtube.com/live/N87R8ne4XLA?si=B2DVr-2rl1is5mWg&t=27m40s
Their ATM is the nearest ATM to my house. I see very rarely people using it…May be due to their withdrawal fees. Even I use it only for emergency situations
OneCard also launched their Rupay varient CC.
It’s RuPay everywhere, and it’s great to see that every bank is now focusing on Rupay Credit Card on UPI, which is increasing day by day.
The reason behind push for Rupay CC is the volume of transactions on UPI through Rupay CC.
Practically, you can spend your entire monthly expenditure using Rupay CC through UPI.
Is there any option to apply for this specific variant ?
I think it’s not live yet
It seems that OneCard now going to introduce the FD based card on the RuPay network as well.
