Voice enabled conversational UPI payments, messaging enabled conversational bill payments.
India is truly becoming Digital India.
And the feather in the cap is the inclusion of non internet enabled phones as well. Kudos! to NPCI

@Priyansh_Gaur I downloaded the app and ordered the card yesterday…As I said earlier, their city specific customised cards looks unique.
Yes, at present, they are offering exclusive city specific cards only for Lucknow and Indore, but I can see their promise on the website that they will add more city cards soon. Also, we can request them for our city.
Since I’m in Kerala, I got the Generic design Card, that too looks beautiful.
@yagnesh01 Not a fan of UNI app. I tried their app when launched at the BNPL era. The message I got was “Not serviceable in my location.” I tried after 2-3 months, and got the same message. So never tried again. At that time, they were offering some kind of 1/3 payment plans I think. I can’t remember exactly.
Yes,
You can download the app and apply for the physical Rupay Prepaid card for free
(may be some initial offer)
It’s a prepaid card. So there is no risk involved for the issuer.
Any KYC need?
Can create the account with minimum KYC (Aadhaar OTP) and you can opt for Full KYC for extra benefits. It has to be Video call or something.
(I completed only minimum KYC)
@razack But I don’t see the benefit of a prepaid card when you have a credit card. Ofcourse if you don’t have a RuPay credit card, there is a 1% benefit.
Yes, that’s true.
But its beneficial for those who don’t have one.
I mainly go for ‘card collection’ purpose
Also, I liked their app…Smooth and Simple
UPI lite X is nfc based system. More enhanced version of upi lite
I signed up just for the sake of rupay.
Sure I won’t be using it.
RuPay via NFC
While numerous countries have started accepting UPI as a payment method, the UPI One World initiative and its strategic positioning at the G20 event is a brilliant move by NPCI.
Undoubtedly, this initiative will give UPI a more global and broader reach.
Thank you for sharing. @razack
Yes! In fact, even other digital offerings will be at display. ONDC, Digilocker and likes.
World Bank’s G-20 document reveals India has achieved financial inclusion targets in just 6 years which would otherwise have taken at least 47 years due to digital infrastructure like UPI.
G20: Foreign delegates or participants will be given Rs 500-1,000 in their UPI wallets for doing UPI transactions, a government official told ANI, adding it has earmarked around Rs 10 lakhs for it.
I’ve also ordered this card but in virtual card section it’s only showing 12 digit card number instead of 16 digit?
Can you check this ?
