Description of transactions is usually merchant name or shopkeeper’s name. For certain UPI it is just UPI IN OR OUT.
There should be option to edit the description of transaction so that we can actually remember on what exactly did we spent the money.
The option should be available on transaction complete page where there is option to update the category.
I also feel this note/tag should take precedence over merchant name in statement.
For example, if I bought eggs, I should see
Eggs (on top), highlighted
Merchant name (second line)
