You must have heard about Zebpay or Lyra.

The RBI had issued notice to Safexpay to cease their operations in India. They extended their PG to some entities, emitra and mhada.

"Identifying the Need: The inception of the Peso app arose from a significant challenge faced during their entrepreneurial journey. Existing UPI daily transaction limits hindered their ability to receive payments from clients, leading to financial stress. Regulatory constraints set by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) made payment giants reluctant to onboard new startups for payment gateway integration. This predicament underscored the hurdles new startups encounter in India’s payment landscape and the lack of control over their funds.

Creating a Solution: Recognizing the pressing need for a solution and armed with profound knowledge of blockchain technology, Vijay and Utkarshini embarked on the creation of an app that simplifies money management while harnessing the power of blockchain. They aptly named their creation “Peso,” symbolizing the simplicity of handling money."

Seems interesting. blockchain based money transfer. Is anyone aware of this or used this service?

I guess this is a crypto app… :face_with_peeking_eye:

Write a complaint at Prime Minister’s portal and wait for just upto seven days.

@LordKrishna Let me explore this option too.

Btw, I have already made the payment for someone else’s mischief.

If you win this fight, you will get your money back. So Fighting! :fist:

Let’s see.

By the way, after your message yesterday, I made the mind to fight this (but as score was declining so made the payment).

First I will clear the credit lines reflecting in Cibil and then will take this fight ahead.

If you did complaint in cyber cell then there is no requirement for you to pay and only you were supposed to share the complaint number with Paytm Postpaid provider Aditya Birla where cyber crime was done. Also you don’t have to worry about credit score as those transactions cannot be put by Aditya Birla into credit score like CIBIL. Now you can do one thing that provide cyber cell complaint number to Aditya Birla and ask for refund and if they deny then write a complaint in prime minister’s portal or consumer court portal for refund.

@LordKrishna Ideally you are right.

But after talking with 17 people at AB Finance, raising and following up on mail thread with AB Finance with cyber crime complaint number (5 emails in thread), raising tickets at Paytm Postpaid (2 times ticket was closed without any resolution), mailing to Nodal officer of Paytm 3 times without any revert - all this in span of 38 days. And on top seeing score decline by 47 points (though RBI says otherwise). What would you have done practically?

@LordKrishna while rules are supposed to work for consumers in theory, ultimately the deciding authority is the business. So most of the time, the consumer is at a disadvantage.

I think it’s best for @kingzeusvj to pay up now and then fight so that the credit score is not affected. Otherwise, he’ll have to fight this on one side and the other side keep up with CIBIL for improving the score.

I’ve also done the same in the past. In theory the disputed amount shouldn’t accrue interest as well. But the companies don’t accept the security lapse or the loss because of it and push back on the consumer.

If that’s the case then it doesn’t matter that you have paid as you can now claim refund with harassment charges and credit score not only correction but increase than before. By the way I know these days no company cares about customer as they know laws are almost made and government work is almost done. Soon India will be government free as some other countries where if you have issue with anyone you have to resolve by fighting in court. Every registered company has rights of a king and if you their customers then you are people whom then can rule. Also government was only made to make laws once it’s done then there will be no government and only court and judges across earth whose headquarters in US if I am not wrong known as supreme court.

You asked me what would I have done so listen I would have never paid even a single rupee to them as it’s not my fault here. I would have been active and already did complaints in government and Ministries and court without any delay. Also if they are giving damage to credit score that wouldn’t affect me as I don’t have authority or control over credit score even if it’s mine. As only companied are authorised like king and given control so I would have waited for the outcome of the complaint as most of the time there’s no need for court case as a complaint to prime minister’s portal resolves everything in a week.
