When is this feature coming? I am going to college next month and now I want it urgently :joy: :joy: :joy:
I have onboarded all my friends on Jupiter for smooth splitting.

The splitting bills feature is not planned for this quarter :date:
Though, we’d like to continue getting feedback on how the feature should be on Jupiter.

Apart from Splitwise and Gpay, is anyone using other apps/methods to split bills? Please share your experience. Thanks!

The option was removed from Paytm. Definitely miss it.

This is still there on Paytm.
Not removed.

Splitwise is the most convenient app for splitting bills.
Wish Jupiter would bring something like that itself.
But the only issue would be very less people would have Jupiter account.
So it shall be useless until unless Jupiter allows to make and track payments using other bank accounts.

Why dont you introduce spiltwise concept within the app ? So that the colleagues can share the bill whenever we go for team lunch or plan for gift buying ?

Sharing my experience why this feature will be useful.

People go on trips with their friends and family.

While a lot of people have seen me using Jupiter, they don’t find it convincing enough to join. You just need to get started on Jupiter to get addicted to it.

While pots help you save.
The trip expense manager can help you split the bill and help you get the money recevored too with nudges.
Bill splitting can be at transaction level or at summarized level.

Trip expenses should have the ability to add other people using their UPI ID or phone number.
(Split wise has email option).

Great things about split wise

  • Ability to see transaction in details like who added, who is spilit among etc
  • Summary of who owes who etc
  • Easy to manage roles and editing capablitiy

It is a good idea to have splitting bills within Jupiter :star_struck:

I have few suggestions from other split apps that I use to split bills with Friends.

  1. Good to have group like RoomExpenses , TripExpenses, OfficeExpense, WeekendSpends (may be tags in splitting bills which can be used to show as a group in dashboard)
  2. Good to have a separate tab / screen to track the details
  3. Good to have a dashboard ( maybe to show group with label / progress bar to show how much I owes to friends and how much friends owes me)
  4. Time limit :scream: , it would be better to have a button to send notification reminder
