One of my team members had a similar story to share - her kid did not want to go to the English tutor as he thought ChatGPT can already do what the tutor anyways does

lol :rofl:

Anybody recieved this update of WhatsApp for Android? What do you feel about this UI change

@Aswin_Benny The Communities tab right?
Pretty neat tbh.

It’s basically a group of groups.

No. They changed into bottom navigation .

See the current android tabs.

I think iOS by default had tabs in the bottom :thinking:

They are trying to make some changes but I feel Whatsapp is going to follow the same fate as facebook did. No one uses it for personal purpose. I am already not using it due to all the mess in it now.

as a beta tester of whatsapp using this for about a month

I use it just because all my relatives are using it :joy:. My parents is having issues adjusting to other platforms for video calling me.

When WhatsApp tried pushing for the acceptance of their privacy policy, I tried getting away from them. And then a rude realisation hit me - you can run but cannot hide

I am mostly a telegram user. Not a very big fan of whatsapp.

@Aswin_Benny Didn’t received any updates for the Android. It’s still the old design. Would definitely like to have the tabs at bottom like iOS.
@specter , yes, just like Facebook, many are migrating to other messaging apps, but I am still a WhatsApp user and don’t like Telegram. During the lockdown, Telegram became very popular for downloading movies, so I considered creating an account. However, I learned that it notifies others when you join, so I decided against it :rofl:. Does that notification still exist? :eyebrow: :eyebrow:

It is still there I guess. I turned it off from my side. Now whenever someone in my contact joins, i won’t be receiving notifications
