Airtel Payments Bank Smart Watch by Noise with NFC payments launched

https://www.fonearena.com/blog/419565/airtel-payments-bank-smart-watch-noise-nfc-payments-price-features.html

Are there any other NFC devices like this watch? I remember someone talking about a keychain from some other FinTech or bank.

Also I have seen some YouTube videos with DIY for transforming debit/credit card chip into a small carry on device (Eg. Ring).

If I am not wrong @razack has shared something similar for a different brand

Omnicard has this keychain. I got it for free as some introductory offer, and now I think it cost some amoount.

Muvin, which focused as childrenโ€™s neo bank, too launched the same. Unfortunately they shut their operations.

Thanks @razack.

Please do share if anyone comes across anything like this. I would like a solution like this.

Ofcourse, we already have NFC phones that could do the same without even the card. But I guess this also has a use case, when you want to leave the phone home.

@razack Question. How does the keychain work? Like whatโ€™s the process? Does it needs a PIN to make a payment else it would be very risky :blob_worried:

@Shawnpinto Has to be the same mechanism of Debit Cardโ€™s Tap and Pay feature.
I think the customer need to set up the pin from the app and for the high value transactions, he/she need to enter that pin to proceed.

For limit up to 5000, one can pay without using the PIN. (Also, I think there have to some option on the app to disable such transactions)

Feels awkward to carry such a big keychain

You do have a point. Stickers are more practical than big clunky keychains that are more of an advertisement/promotional tool than a useful payment gadget.

These things should be inconspicuous lest somebody swipe it from us easily.
