i use adblocker so haven’t seen any ads for years:) also yes implementing generative ai will drastically increase cost for processing data and this is anyways going to reduce ad revenues they can insert sponsored content into the response of ai. btw most of the blogs now days are copy paste and seo was anyway destroying web experience for everyone

they can’t detect a adblocker which targets html elements like ublock origin.

What if they implement something in the backend that counts number of ads not loaded or something like that and ban accounts exceeding a certain amount  (I am not pro in this field , just asking)

they can but adblocker makers will also find some work arounds though I am a YouTube premium member (family plan) it costs nothing for me just 32 per month. it’s worth it i am getting youtube + youtube music ad free

I’m also a Premium Family Plan user
figured 32 per month is more worthwhile than watching countless ads or going through all the trouble to not watch ads

Oh no :blob_worried:
They’ve been hitting us with 2 ads at the same time these days.

Some unskippable.

The ones that cannot be skipped are the ones where the advertiser has paid a higher bid value to ensure the viewer see the complete Ad

Looks at YouTube premium plans

I have been using adblocker for the past 2 years and have never seen any ads in my device . Looks like I have to choose premium subscription :smiling_face_with_tear:.

(Or hope Ublock orgin guys finds a workaround)

Unskippable ads are very irritating and most of those I have seen are repeatative too🥴

That’s a marketer’s way to get your attention and hopefully score a sale.

Earlier I used Youtube Vanced for skipping those ads. Now I think Youtube blocked it too. I attempted using YouTube ReVanced as an alternative, but it had buffering problems, so I had to uninstall it as well. Now my only remaining option is subscribing to YouTube Premium

Have you tried using Bromite browser and running youtube web site on it. Youtube shows a few ads but it allows background playback, PiP mode.

Threads, a new app from Instagram to compete with Twitter, is set to start on July 6th.

Threads! Ohh this might turn out to be good.
We get to keep our Instagram username too!

The screenshot I posted looks like they are banning/freezing accounts after 3 videos without ads :woozy_face:

buy a family plan and share with your friends it’s worthy for 6 guys

You’re right. That plan does look better than the single plan.
