Can wake asleep card for Transaction during sleeping hours

So, I tried to make a transaction at 1 am last night but couldn’t go through as my card had sleeping instructions from 12 am to 6 am. I tried to disable the sleep feature to continue with the transaction but wasn’t able to.

Is this a bug or what it designed to work this way?
