I have been thinking about switching my salary account to Jupiter & planning to use this as my only account. Earlier had been using HDFC for over 5 years but recently getting anything done with them has become too frustrating.
Can someone who is already using it share their experience , how has it been in terms of reliability & ease of use.
Also being a digital only bank how safe are these.
@Rahul_Ranjan Glad you are considering it. Iโm going to let others comment on the experience.
But I lead Jupiter Pro salary, so happy to answer any questions you may have. Either on DM or here as well, if youโd like to share with the community.
Before using them compare them with their competitors.
Beware that there are things which can be done instantly in bank but neo banks are going to take more time as for most of activities theyโre dependent on a separate entity. Some people have waited for many days to get some resolution. Would suggest use it for some days before making it primary account.
Jupiter lacks on ECS option for EMI payments which is a disadvantage since I have a ongoing loan and repayments from different banks are allowed only through ECS.
Can someone confirm how sooner or later this is coming??
I use it and like it for the most part, but there are a few things that will likely cause me to switch back to my previous bank as my salary account.
Cons :
-
I canโt set up eNACH with Kuvera, which is required for automatic deduction of SIP.
-
No option for foreign remit to any countries ( have to use DBS or the kuvera/wise tie up).
-
For visa purposes I have to prove my salary. Jupiter statements donโt meet the required standards and thus are required to me signed and stamped by the bank. Jupiter doesnโt have this option in the app ( Fi does, they deliver signed statements to your home )
-
Every time you make a transaction you have to wait for the balance to update or restart the app. This is specially annoying, if you do a withdrawal from pot for spot UPI payment.
Pros:
-
Reliable and free notifications when salary is deposited.
-
Free foreign transactions on the debit card till 1lack per month.
-
In theory the free salary credit is nice, though I havenโt unlocked it yet (maybe itโs not been 3 salary credits yet, I donโt remember)
-
Excellent customer service and this community, which is difficult to get with other banks.
Most of the cons I have mentioned I think exist because of this being a new product and will be implemented over time.

Meet Extra. Interesting idea.
@nateavi
Kindly share that application/website which accept indian users not the USA.
Good catch! Probably because an Indian variant doesnโt exist. Yet!
Like the west, we too should be thinking a tad creative.
I believe mool has a feature of building credit score using their card which is debit card
