Jupiter not showing in UPI app list anymore?

Is anyone else facing this?

After the latest Jupiter update, the app has completely disappeared from the UPI app list for me on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, and a few other apps. Because of this, I can’t complete transactions using Jupiter UPI.

I raised this with Jupiter support, and they told me it’s a merchant-side issue. But I’m struggling to understand how it suddenly became a merchant issue across multiple apps right after a Jupiter app update.

What disappoints me more is that support seems to have closed the matter from their side. As a Jupiter customer (and credit card user), if Jupiter UPI isn’t available on major platforms, how am I supposed to use it? Even if the root cause is on the merchant side, shouldn’t Jupiter also be investigating and coordinating with them?

Can other Android users on the latest version check whether Jupiter appears in the UPI app list on Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra, Meesho, etc.? Trying to figure out if this is just me or a wider issue.

The merchant and their PG (Payment Gateway) decides which upi app will be visible on their platform and they keep changing it. However, you can still make upi transactions using Jupiter Credit Card by putting your UPI Id directly or even using your credit card.

This change has nothing to do with any changes on our app. However, we have reached out to some of the merchants to check the reason behind this change.

The latest Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and Meesho apps don’t seem to allow manual UPI ID entry anymore (at least on my phone). The only option is to select from the available UPI apps.

Since Jupiter isn’t showing up there, I currently can’t use Jupiter UPI on these platforms, which is why I reported the issue to CS.

What concerned me was that the initial response was that this is a merchant-side issue and the ticket seemed ready to be closed. Since Jupiter isn’t being detected across multiple major apps, I feel it deserves further investigation.

Anyways, thanks for the update. Hope the issue gets resolved soon.

Since you highlighted this, I personally checked Amazon. I can see the option there. Check the screenshot. I know Myntra has kept it limited to a couple of apps. Flipkar also has an option to add UPI Id.

One more thing I noticed: Flipkart still shows Jupiter as a recommended payment method based on my previous transactions. But when I tap on it, it redirects me to the Jupiter Play Store page instead of opening the app.

That makes me think Flipkart isn’t detecting Jupiter as installed on my device, which could be related to the issue.

I don’t know if you’re using iOS or the latest app on Android. For me, there is no such option. Amazon and Flipkart screenshots attached.

This was a Jupiter app issue bro. The problem started after a Jupiter update and was fixed after another Jupiter update. @rkp

That’s why I was disappointed when the issue was immediately blamed on merchants instead of being properly investigated. It felt like Jupiter wasn’t ready to take responsibility and instead shifted the blame elsewhere.

Anyways, glad the issue is fixed now.

Everyone can update to the latest Jupiter Update from the Play Store to fix the issue.

Thanks! The problem is more involved then meets the eye. If there is a problem which we can fix and it will help the user and in turn us, we don’t shy away from accepting or doing it :).

Problem has two parts to it -

  1. One which was due to NPCI circular which we fixed quickly and released it hence some of the users like you who were impacted can see the option now.

  2. Merchant part is still not resolved and we are working with the merchants. Example - Myntra.

Anyways, keep giving us feedback, it helps remain grounded and active.
