Is Aurora Still a Premium Experience? Some Concerns & Suggestions

After updating the app today, I noticed something quite concerning with the Aurora experience.

Below my account balance, I received a “Low Balance – Kindly Maintain AMB” warning. When I tapped on it, the app showed that I need to add ₹20,000 to avoid charges, even though the actual minimum balance requirement is ₹5,000. It also mentions that I am using a Basic Savings Account.

I am an Aurora user, and Aurora users have not had a minimum balance requirement until now, as far as I understand. So, is this a bug introduced with the latest update, or has there been an actual policy change? If the requirement is ₹5,000, then asking users to add ₹20,000 to avoid charges is especially confusing.

I also have a question regarding the FD benefit shown in the app. It says that opening an FD can help avoid charges, but when I click on it, the FD is being opened with Federal Bank. Does this benefit apply only if I open an FD specifically with Federal Bank, or would an FD with another bank through the app also be eligible?

Aurora Milestone Rewards Need Better Optimization

The Taj voucher milestone structure is a good idea, but the rewards after ₹4 lakh spending don’t feel motivating enough.

For example:

- ₹2 lakh spend → ₹10,000 Taj voucher – Great benefit

- ₹4 lakh spend → ₹15,000 additional Taj voucher – Again, very good

- ₹10 lakh spend → ₹5,000 reward – Doesn’t feel proportional

- ₹18 lakh spend → ₹7,500 reward – Again, quite underwhelming considering the spending required

After ₹4 lakh, the reward structure feels significantly less rewarding and does not really motivate users to continue spending towards higher milestones. I genuinely feel these milestones could be redesigned to provide better incremental value and keep users motivated throughout the year.

Airport Lounge Benefit – One Small Improvement

The airport lounge benefit after ₹50,000 spending is a good feature, and receiving a claim link via email works. However, with so many emails in our inboxes, the email containing the claim link can easily get lost or overlooked.

It would be much more convenient if there were a way to claim or access the lounge benefit directly through the Jupiter app. This would make the experience smoother and ensure that users don’t miss a benefit simply because an email got buried under other messages.

My humble request to the President and the Jupiter team: please don’t let the Aurora experience deteriorate. Aurora is positioned as a higher-tier experience, and its benefits, communication, and overall user experience should reflect that.

Whenever major changes are planned—whether related to minimum balance requirements, charges, or benefits—it would be great if they could be communicated transparently through the community and email at least a month in advance. Sudden changes after an app update can create unnecessary confusion.

I genuinely like the Aurora concept and hope the team continues improving it. Please look into these points and consider the feedback. :folded_hands:

Please don’t worry. There is a segmentation issue which we are fixing. It will be resolved within 24 hours.
