# Foreign Transaction in Sri Lanka

Hi people, I am planning to visit Sri Lanka and Thailand next year. Just wanted to know if I can use my Jupiter Debit/credit card to withdraw local money there?
If yes, what are the extra charges and if not what’s the best thing to do?

@Subhadeep_Sarkar I think you can withdraw money using Jupiter debit card from Sri Lanka. But it might incur some charges.
The best thing to do would be foreign exchange some money before your trip. Get some Sri Lankan currency from India before you leave for Sri Lanka.
Also you can get a forex card for digital money. It’s a prepaid card, so you can load money into it. You can also withdraw the money which is not used at the end of the trip. You can use this wherever they accept cards. Not all places accept cards, where you can use the aforementioned cash.
